Tradeify Growth vs Select vs Lightning: What Each Account Type Means for Your Trade Copier

Tradeify's Growth, Select, and Lightning accounts differ in more than evaluation rules. Here's which platform to choose at checkout — and why it matters if you're setting up a trade copier.

Tradeify Growth vs Select vs Lightning: What Each Account Type Means for Your Trade Copier

If you're planning to use a trade copier with your Tradeify accounts, there's one decision you need to get right before you buy: your platform choice at checkout. Tradeify locks it after purchase — switching later means buying a new account.

This post covers Tradeify's three account types (Growth, Select, and Lightning), explains the platform decision that affects copier setup, and walks through how each connects to SyncFutures.

Tradeify Account Types: Growth, Select, and Lightning

Tradeify currently offers three account types for new traders:

AccountEvaluationConsistency RuleEnvironment
GrowthOne-phaseNone during the evaluation; 35% once fundedSimulated
SelectOne-phase (3-day minimum)40% during the evaluation; none once fundedSimulated
LightningNone — straight to fundedTiered by payout: 20%, then 25%, then 30%Simulated

Tradeify's consistency rule compares your best single day's profit against your total profit, and it's checked when you request a payout. Note that Growth and Select apply it at opposite stages: Select only during the evaluation, Growth only once you're funded. Percentages and thresholds change from time to time — confirm yours in the Tradeify help center before you plan around them.

All three run on simulated infrastructure — not real-capital accounts. After passing a Growth or Select evaluation, the resulting funded account is also simulated. Lightning skips the evaluation entirely and gives you a funded simulated account immediately.

Tradeify's Elite program is a separate tier: real-capital and invitation-based. Eligibility opens after you've taken a number of approved payouts, but hitting that threshold isn't an automatic upgrade — Tradeify evaluates consistency and risk management, then selects and reaches out at its discretion. Check the Tradeify help center for the current threshold. If you're invited, check your Tradeify dashboard — the environment and rules are different from the standard accounts and aren't covered here.

The Platform Choice That Matters for Copier Users

When you buy any Tradeify account, you pick a trading platform:

  • Tradovate
  • Tradesea — Tradeify's label for its Rithmic connection
  • WealthCharts

This selection is locked at purchase. You cannot change it afterward without buying a separate account.

SyncFutures connects to Tradovate and Rithmic only. Tradesea is the Rithmic connection — Tradeify brands it Tradesea at checkout, but it runs on Rithmic, so it's the option you pick if you want a Rithmic connection in SyncFutures. WealthCharts is a standalone, web-based platform that isn't available as a SyncFutures connection. If you choose WealthCharts at checkout, you won't have a copier path through SyncFutures.

The bottom line: choose Tradovate or Tradesea if you plan to use a trade copier.

How Each Platform Connects to SyncFutures

Tradovate

Tradovate uses OAuth2 — you authorize SyncFutures by logging into Tradovate's own site. No password is entered into SyncFutures directly.

When connecting, select the Demo environment. Tradeify's Tradovate accounts run on Tradovate's simulated infrastructure, so the accounts will only appear under Demo, not Live.

Tradesea (Rithmic)

If you picked Tradesea at checkout, you connect it in SyncFutures as a Rithmic connection. Rithmic connects with a username, password, and Rithmic system name. You don't need to look the system name up — SyncFutures populates a dropdown of available Rithmic systems live, and you pick the one matching your Tradeify account. If the connection comes back with no accounts, the usual cause is the wrong system selected from that list.

Both connection types are added from the Accounts section in SyncFutures — available on the web app and the mobile app.

Tradeify's Copy Trading Policy

Tradeify allows traders to copy trades between their own accounts. Third-party copier software is permitted at your own operational risk — Tradeify isn't responsible for errors caused by external applications.

What isn't allowed: copying from another trader's account, sharing a strategy with accounts you don't own, or running signals from an external source.

SyncFutures copies from your own master account to your own slave accounts — no third-party signals involved. This falls within Tradeify's stated policy.

Which Account Type Should You Choose?

For copier users, the account type matters less to your setup than the platform choice. The main differences are about the evaluation itself:

  • Growth — no consistency rule during the evaluation, so you just hit the profit target. The 35% rule shows up later, at the funded payout stage.
  • Select — the 40% consistency rule applies during the evaluation, so no single day can carry too much of your profit. More discipline on sizing up front, but the rule drops once you're funded.
  • Lightning — no evaluation at all. You're funded immediately on a simulated account, with a tiered consistency rule on payouts (20%, then 25%, then 30%). Worth it if you want to skip the evaluation cycle.

Any of the three can be set up as a slave account in SyncFutures once funded.

Running Multiple Tradeify Accounts with a Copier

Tradeify allows up to five standard funded accounts at a time. (On V2, 300K Select accounts stack on top of that standard cap — up to three of them, for a maximum of eight funded accounts in total.) That's a natural fit for a trade copier: one master account trades, the others follow.

With SyncFutures, you set up a copy rule from the master to each slave. If your accounts are different sizes, quantity multipliers (0.1x to 100x) let you scale the copied fill up or down per account.

You can also run your master on a different firm entirely — if your primary live account is on Tradovate and your Tradeify accounts are on Rithmic, SyncFutures copies between them. That's the cross-broker setup a lot of multi-firm traders use.

Next Steps

Once your Tradeify accounts are connected, see the full Tradeify trade copier setup guide for copy rule configuration and pre-live checklist.

SyncFutures starts at $39/mo (Starter — 3 connections) with a 7-day free trial. View pricing.

FAQ

Can I switch my Tradeify account from Tradovate to Tradesea (Rithmic)? No. The platform choice is locked at purchase. You'd need to buy a new account to switch.

Does SyncFutures work with WealthCharts? No. SyncFutures connects to Tradovate and Rithmic only. WealthCharts is not supported.

Are Tradeify funded accounts live or simulated? All standard Tradeify accounts — Growth, Select, and Lightning, including funded accounts after passing the evaluation — are simulated. Tradeify's Elite tier is the only real-capital option, and it's invite-only.

Can I use a Rithmic master account to copy to a Tradovate Tradeify account? Yes. SyncFutures supports cross-broker copying, so a Rithmic master can copy to a Tradovate slave and vice versa.

How many Tradeify accounts can I connect to SyncFutures? Tradeify allows up to five standard funded accounts, and on V2 up to three 300K Select accounts stack on top of that for a maximum of eight. SyncFutures' Starter plan supports three connections, Professional supports five, and Ultimate supports unlimited. See pricing.
