Running Tradeify and MyFundedFutures at the Same Time: Trade Copier Setup Guide

Running accounts at both Tradeify and MyFundedFutures is a common multi-firm setup — different challenge structures, different payout models, the same trades going to both. The friction is doing it by hand every session: open accounts across two platforms, place the same trade each time, check that everything landed.

SyncFutures copies from one master account to all your slave accounts automatically. One fill at the master, and each slave fills at whatever multiplier you've configured. This guide covers how to connect both firms, set up copy rules for them, and what to expect from each connection path.

How Each Firm Connects to SyncFutures

Tradeify

Tradeify lets you choose your platform at account purchase: Tradovate, Rithmic (Tradeify markets this as Tradesea), or WealthCharts. The platform selection is made at checkout and is locked to the account.

  • Tradovate accounts connect via OAuth2. You authorize through Tradovate's login page — no username or password is entered in SyncFutures. When adding the connection, select Demo as the environment. Tradeify evaluation accounts (Growth, Select) and Lightning funded accounts all run on simulated accounts, not a live brokerage.
  • Rithmic/Tradesea accounts connect with your Rithmic username, password, and the system name Tradeify assigns. Your credentials come from Tradeify when you purchase or activate the account.
  • WealthCharts accounts are not supported in SyncFutures. If your Tradeify account is on WealthCharts, you won't be able to connect it — this is specific to the WealthCharts platform. Choose Tradovate or Rithmic at account purchase if you plan to use a trade copier.

A note on Tradeify Elite: Elite is a live-capital tier that Tradeify issues on a discretionary, invite-only basis to established traders. If you've been invited to Elite, confirm the platform and environment details with Tradeify before setting up a copy rule — it may differ from evaluation and funded account behavior.

For a detailed Tradeify connection walkthrough, see our Tradeify trade copier guide.

MyFundedFutures (MFFU)

Most MFFU accounts connect through Tradovate OAuth2 — the same flow used for Tradovate accounts across SyncFutures. SyncFutures also lists a NinjaTrader option for MFFU accounts; this uses the identical Tradovate OAuth2 authorization behind the scenes (no separate NinjaTrader credentials required — the steps are the same).

When adding the connection, you'll be asked to choose an environment (Live or Demo). Which one to pick depends on the specific account stage of your MFFU account. Check your MFFU dashboard to confirm before connecting. If you add the connection and see no accounts, switch to the other environment.

For a full MFFU connection walkthrough, see our MyFundedFutures trade copier guide.

Two Common Setups

Same-Broker Setup (Both Firms on Tradovate)

If your Tradeify account is on Tradovate and your MFFU account is on Tradovate, both connect through the same OAuth2 flow. The only difference is which Tradovate environment each account lives on — Demo for Tradeify, and whichever environment your MFFU account stage requires.

This is the simpler configuration: same connection type, no cross-broker normalization needed. You'll still need two separate connections in SyncFutures, but the process is identical for both.

Cross-Broker Setup (Tradeify on Rithmic, MFFU on Tradovate)

If your Tradeify account is on Rithmic/Tradesea and your MFFU account is on Tradovate, you're copying across two different broker infrastructures. SyncFutures handles this natively — the copy engine normalizes fills between brokers so the copy works correctly regardless of which side initiates.

In practice:

  • The Rithmic connection requires your Tradeify Rithmic credentials (username, password, system name).
  • The Tradovate connection uses OAuth2.
  • Copy rules work the same way in both directions — either firm can be master or slave.

Fills won't always land at the exact same millisecond across brokers, since Tradovate and Rithmic route orders differently. For most instruments and trade sizes, this difference is negligible. The journal logs each fill separately with timestamps if you want to review execution across the two brokers.

Setting Up Connections

  1. Open the Accounts section in SyncFutures (web or mobile).
  2. Add your Tradeify connection:
    • If Tradovate: click Add Broker Connection, select Tradovate, authorize via OAuth2, choose Demo environment.
    • If Rithmic/Tradesea: select Rithmic, enter your username, password, and the Tradeify system name.
  3. Add your MFFU connection:
    • Click Add Broker Connection, select Tradovate (or NinjaTrader — same flow).
    • Authorize via OAuth2, and choose the environment that matches your MFFU account stage. If you're unsure, check your MFFU dashboard first.
  4. Verify both connections show the correct accounts before building any copy rules.

Setting Up a Copy Rule

Once both connections are active and showing accounts:

  1. Go to Copier Rules in SyncFutures.
  2. Click New Copier Rule.
  3. Choose your master account — the account you'll trade on directly. Any account from either firm can be the master.
  4. Add your slave accounts and set a quantity multiplier for each (0.1x–100x). If one account is smaller than the master, use a fractional multiplier to keep position sizing proportional.
  5. Set the symbol — this pins the rule to a specific contract. For example, if you trade MES, enter MESZ6 for the December contract on Tradovate (single-digit year format — not MESZ26). Update this at each quarterly rollover; if you don't, the master fills but nothing copies to the slaves.
  6. Enable the rule and run a test to confirm fills are landing correctly on both accounts.

See the quarterly rollover checklist for a reminder of what to update each quarter.

Copy Trading Policy at Each Firm

Review each firm's rules before going live.

Tradeify: Copy trading between your own accounts is permitted. Copying signals or trades from other traders into your Tradeify accounts is not allowed. Your copied accounts must also trade in the same direction. Tradeify prohibits holding opposite positions in the same product, or in two products from the same product group — long ES and short NQ, for example — and this applies across every account you control, evaluation or funded, minis or micros. The penalty is severe: the accounts involved are set to violation status, profits from that period can be forfeited, and a permanent ban is possible.

SyncFutures copies in the same direction as your master and has no reverse-copy mode. Avoid placing manual trades on slave accounts that oppose the master, and check that your positions match after any manual close or flatten. Confirm current terms with Tradeify directly, as policies can change.

MyFundedFutures: MFFU allows copy trading between your own accounts only. Copying between different traders' accounts is prohibited. MFFU also states it is not obligated to provide support, troubleshooting, or account resets for issues that result from copy trading activity — so any unexpected positions from a copy issue are yours to manage. Review MFFU's current terms before starting.

Plans and Connection Count

Running Tradeify and MFFU means at least two connections. The Starter plan ($39/mo) covers 3 connections — enough for this setup with one slot to spare. If you're running more accounts across both firms, the Professional plan ($89/mo) covers 5 connections.

All plans include the same full feature set. See pricing →

A 7-day free trial is available on all plans.

FAQ

Can a Tradeify account be the master and MFFU the slave, or vice versa?

Yes. Either account can be the master. Most traders use their most actively managed or largest account as the master.

Can I add multiple Tradeify accounts and multiple MFFU accounts to the same copy rule?

Yes. A single copy rule supports multiple slave accounts, and you can mix accounts from different firms and brokers. Each slave account gets its own quantity multiplier.

My MFFU account isn't showing up after connecting. What do I do?

Switch the environment selector between Live and Demo. MFFU accounts appear only under the environment their account stage requires — if you pick the wrong one, no accounts show up. Check your MFFU dashboard to confirm which environment applies to your account.

What happens at quarterly rollover?

Copy rules are pinned to a specific contract symbol. When the front-month contract rolls (December to March, for example), update the symbol in your copy rule to the new contract. Until you update it, the master fills but nothing copies to the slaves. The rollover checklist covers what to update and when.

Does SyncFutures enforce Tradeify or MFFU drawdown rules?

No. SyncFutures copies trades but does not monitor, flag, or enforce any prop firm rules. Informational daily and weekly loss limits are visible in the SyncFutures dashboard as journal goals, but nothing is automated or enforced — you're responsible for staying within each firm's guidelines.
